First Win for Jamie McCanney in British Enduro Championship!

MIDWEST HUSABERG UK TEAM RIDER JAMIE MCCANNEY RECORDS HIS FIRST EVER WIN
OVER 140 RIDERS HEADED TO MID-WALES IN TEMPERATURES OF 30 DEGREES FOR ROUNDS 5 & 6 OF THE BRITISH ENDURO CHAMPIONSHIP. THE COURSE CONSISTED OF 35 MILES IN THE RADNOR FOREST WITH AN MX & ENDURO TEST. RIDING A HUSABERG TE250 FOR THE FIRST TIME IN A BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIP ENDURO, JAMIE MCCANNEY STARTED THE FIRST LAP ON DAY 1 WITH A COUPLE OF SMALL MISTAKES WHICH LEFT HIM 12 SECONDS BEHIND TOM SAGAR. BUT THE FAST LEARNING YOUNG MANXMAN BEGAN TO IMPROVE HIS SPEED AS HE FAMILIARISED HIMSELF WITH THE TE250. BY THE END OF 4 LAPS & GOING INTO THE LAST TEST JAMIE HAD A CHANCE OF WINNING, HE SET A TIME 6 SECS FASTER THAN SAGAR BUT EVENTUALLY LOST OUT BY JUST OVER 1 SECOND! DAY 2 WAS AGAIN HOT BUT HAVING LEARNED TO RIDE THE TE250, JAMIE WAS READY FROM THE START. THE ENDURO TEST CONSISTED OF MANY FAST FIRE ROADS, WHICH JAMIE STRUGGLED TO MATCH THE SPEED OF THE LARGER 4 STROKE MACHINES, BUT ON THE MX TEST WHICH WAS MORE TECHNICAL & SUITED JAMIE HE CONSISTAINTLEY BEAT SAGAR BY 7 SECS EACH TIME. AT THE END OF DAY 2 JAMIE HAD BUILT UP A COMMANDING 28 SEC LEAD OVER SAGAR.
